What Are
Brain Injury Support Services?
Uni-Hope's Brain Injury (BI) program provides compassionate, specialized support for individuals living with acquired or traumatic brain injuries across Iowa. Our trained staff work closely with each person, their family, and their medical team to deliver care that promotes safety, recovery, and as much independence as possible.
We partner with case managers, service coordinators, and healthcare providers to build person-centered care plans that adapt as each individual's needs and goals evolve over time.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Iowa's Brain Injury (BI) waiver funds community-based services for adults with acquired or traumatic brain injuries who meet level-of-care criteria and require support to remain in the community rather than a nursing facility.
You will need a case manager or service coordinator referral and approval under the BI waiver. Our admissions team can help guide you through the process — call us at 515-441-1756 to get started.
SCL Daily provides ongoing supervised care throughout the day and is appropriate for individuals with more intensive support needs. SCL Hourly provides targeted support for specific tasks or hours of the day, offering more flexibility for individuals with lighter support requirements.
